About

Welcome to The Sweet Life!

My name is Elisa and I am passionate about food!  So much so that I left a career in non-profit organizations to attend culinary school and I have never looked back.  I believe that good food nourishes the body, mind and soul.  Food brings people together and helps us to build lasting memories. Some of my fondest memories as a child and an adult center around food and the wonderful moments that I enjoyed with family and friends.

Since graduating from the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland, Oregon, I’ve held a variety of positions in the food industry.  I am well versed in a variety of cuisines including American Regional, Thai, French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Indian.  In addition, I’ve worked as a baker and pastry chef and can make delicious treats and homemade breads from scratch.  I am also proficient at cooking according to a variety of special diets including State of Slim (the Colorado Diet), Paleo, low carb, gluten free, etc.

Nowadays food has become merely an afterthought for so many people.  We are all so busy and convenience is our main goal.  Because of this, we’ve become reliant on the drive-through and prepared foods.  A personal chef is the answer to the dilemma that so many people find  themselves in – “what to have for dinner?”.  I can help you solve that dilemma!  The only thing you’ll need to think about is what to do with your extra free time!

If your goal is to make your own meals, I can also provide cooking lessons and help you become a more confident cook. Need help with a special occasion?  I can create unique, delicious in-home parties and cooking events that will delight your friends and family.
